Introducing… Life Can Be Good Workshop Series
Workshops presented by Kim Wilson, MSSW/LCSW
The following workshops were developed in response to frequently observed areas of distress for individuals, parents and families. In effort to support our community, these workshops are informal one-time events to enhance positivity and nurture healthy families. Handouts and take-home materials will be provided. Cost is $10.00/person. Please call 270-904-1072 to save your place as seating is limited.
WORKSHOP LOCATION: 996 Wilkinson Trace, Suite A-8 (our old offices). Across from convention center. Bldg A is long building that backs up to PrimeCare parking lot. Suite A-8 located at far end of building on the second floor. Look for Wilson Counseling on outside brick. Call us if you have any trouble!!

Parenting teens is hard, especially in modern times with technology and the internet. This workshop is about understanding adolescent development and how to use this knowledge to parent your teen, communicate with your teen, and set up a future relationship with your teen.

How much time we spend on our phones? How many times a day do we check email? Texts? FaceBook? SnapChat? Afraid you’ll miss something? Panic/worry when you have no signal? Have multiple chargers? Consider the research. Recognize the hooks. Control your technology with healthy boundaries, knowledge and a plan.

Storytelling is becoming a lost art. Older generations knew their family history through hearing stories from parents, grandparents and extended family members. Storytelling teaches lessons well-learned and keeps us feeling connected. Have fun while understanding the importance of casual storytelling.
